Must-See Spots of Zion National Park

With its colorful canyons and winding trails, Zion National Park has long been a dream destination for adventurers around the country. Those who wish to stay close to the action and thoroughly explore this famous national park will love Parry Lodge. Our hotel, located in Kanab, Utah, is just a quick 34-minute drive from Zion National Park.

We recommend the following must-see spots during your tour of Zion:

Zion Canyon Scenic Drive

Zion Canyon is the most iconic attraction at the park, and the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive is the best and most convenient way to experience this mammoth canyon. You can either bike along the drive, or take one of the park's shuttle buses that allow you to get on and off at different points throughout the journey.

Riverside Walk

For the most picturesque scenery in the park, head to Riverside Walk. This trail is a little more than 2 miles long, and takes you along the river's edge through the canyon. Waterfalls, hanging gardens and the rushing river make this one of the most lush, green sections of Zion National Park.

Weeping Rock

Located half a mile off the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, Weeping Rock is one of the most distinct and unusual formations in the park. It is a large cliff wall that hangs over the trail. Depending on the time of year and the amount of recent rainfall, visitors will experience a few small drips and drops off the edge of the cliff or a rushing waterfall.

Observation Point

Visitors who want to experience the park from on high should take the Observation Point Trail to Observation Point, which rests at the top of Mount Baldy. From this perspective, travelers will be able to see the vast expanse of Zion National Park, including some of its most famous landmarks.

Whether you are an experienced hiker who knows how to maneuver through the most rugged trails, or you are a new explorer who is seeing the national parks for the first time, you are sure to find the right activities and attractions at Zion National Park.
